Art From Chaos: Who We Are

art from chaos is an organization committed to support and promote the expression of self through the arts while raising awareness of social issues. we derived our name from the fact that each of us has been inspired by the chaos that surrounds us- both in the world and in our personal lives. our expression in art is born from the chaos and, at times, thrives in it.

we are a group of artists, musicians, writers and performers who, having seen the need for a unification of art mediums, not only in pittsburgh, but across the country, we wanted to find a way to bring the various mediums together in a complementary way. we truly want to create a total art experience. the best way to do this is to have showcases in a variety of venues where the venue, art, music, even food go together in a cohesive mix. so every aspect of the event enhances each piece. we also felt a need to draw attention to certain issues that we feel affect us individually as artists as well as society as a whole.
